Photographed in the "Rogues Blues Hall" in Natchitoches, Louisiana by the late John Lee "Junior" Doughty, Jr. (1942 – 2014) for the now-defunct website "Junior's Juke Joint" which he created in 1997 created.
Junior was a cultural anthropologist up and down the Mississippi and Louisiana highways in his old car, which he called The Blues Mobile. A lifelong fan of blues music, he sought out local blues juke joints and musicians and carefully documented his findings in "Junior's Juke Joint." He has not only documented the adventures of his travels on these rural highways, but also shared stories and recipes.
Rest in peace, junior ….
