Strawberry basil margarita on Cinco de Mayo (May 5th)

A bloody drink for our Dexter date (recipe from Vegweb newsletter)

Strawberry-basil margaritas (2p)

1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled
1/4 cup tequila
1 tablespoon orange-flavored liqueur (I like Cointreau)
1 tablespoon agave
1 tablespoon lemon juice
8 ice cubes
2 tablespoons basil, chopped roughly

Combine the strawberries, tequila, liqueur, agave, and lemon juice in a blender and mix on low until smooth. Add the ice and purée until the ice is crushed, about 30 to 60 seconds. Stir in basil and enjoy!
